Light the Night

May 21, 2025 · 6 PM · WEE BURN BEACH CLUB · ROWAYTON, CT

Join us for our Third Annual “Light the Night” on Wednesday, May 21st at Wee Burn Beach Club to launch the next chapter in the Lighthouse’s epic history.

Thanks to donors and volunteers, the Lighthouse is nearing the completion of a critical restoration. We’ve now launched the “Next 100 Years” – a campaign that seeks to endow the long-term preservation of the Lighthouse through a focus on Education, Community, and Sustainability.

Gather with friends and family for a magnificent evening filled with delicious food, live music, sunset Lighthouse cruises aboard the R/V Rutgers, and a live auction featuring incredible Lighthouse events.

Become A Sponsor

Last year, we proudly announced the successful completion of the “Save the Light” campaign -  a five-year fundraising and restoration campaign that addressed the urgently needed restoration work and transformed the lighthouse from a decaying structure into a world-class icon of our community.

We've now launched the “Next 100 Years” - a fundraising and programming campaign that seeks to ensure that the Lighthouse never falls back into a state of disrepair. By elevating the Lighthouse into an active "beacon" through a focus on education, research, and community, we can "keep the light shining" for generations to come.

In addition to individual tickets and ticket packages, we are seeking event sponsors. Sponsor packages include ticket packages to the event, an invitation to the pre-event VIP lighthouse tour, and prominent features of your name and/or logo across our event marketing – before, during, and after the event. Please email us to discuss sponsorship opportunities.

Launch the Next 100 Years

The “Next 100 Years” envisions the Lighthouse as a “community asset” - an active beacon of education and community, which revives the functionality and relevance of the Lighthouse to keep the light shining for generations to come.

We are missing a key component to make the “Next 100 Years” vision truly sustainable: a launch vessel with the capabilities and safety features to meet the unique challenges inherent in providing access to an offshore lighthouse.

At Light the Night, we are seeking to fully fund the acquisition of R/V Sound Keeper, a world-class 20-passenger research vessel. The Munson landing craft has unique beach landing capability - enabling passenger pick-up from local beaches - along with capabilities to facilitate marine research and education along the Darien and Norwalk coastlines.

To showcase its incredible capabilities, we’ve again chartered the RV Rutgers – a Munson research vessel - to run cruises around the Lighthouse during the Light the Night event for all attendees. Ticket Packages also include VIP Passes to join a Pre-Event Champagne Toast at the Lighthouse.
