Public Tour Tickets
We’ve partnered once again with the Seaport Association for our 2026 Public Tours!
Tours will feature the unique opportunity to tour both Greens Ledge Lighthouse as well as Sheffield Island Lighthouse. These special tours will be running only: June 6th, July 11th, and August 8th, 2026.
The boat will depart the Seaport's new dock at 90 Water Street at 8:30 a.m. and return at 1:30 p.m. Once finished with the tour of Greens Ledge, guests will step back on the ferry for the second half of the trip over to Sheffield Island Lighthouse.
These tours sell out fast, so be sure to book your tickets when they become available in February.
Availability is extremely limited, and tickets will be sold on a first come first serve basis. Make sure you are signed up for our mailing list to be the first to hear about new public tour dates and events.
Private Tours & Events
Enjoy a private tour of Greens Ledge Lighthouse given by a member of the Greens Ledge Light Preservation Society board for yourself and up to 5 additional guests (maximum 6 people/tour).
Learn about Greens Ledge, the restoration and more while getting an up close look at a working lighthouse. An unparalleled opportunity to experience Greens Ledge 1-on-1 for an unforgettable experience.
Tours last approximately 75 minutes, including transit via boat, which is provided. Longer private events can be booked through the Date Night or Small’ Events offering.
The Lighthouse also hosts professional weather and wind monitoring equipment utilized by the National Weather Service and National Hurricane Center and hosts educational tours provided by Maritime Aquarium and other local nonprofits, garnering recognition as a true "Beacon" of Long Island Sound preservation.
Available May through October. Please specify 3 preferred dates, and we’ll confirm via email.
Tour price includes a tax-deductible donation to the Greens Ledge Light Preservation Society. The booking party will be provided with a receipt for their donation upon confirmation.
Interested in a group event? Greens Ledge makes an unforgettable day trip for clubs, organizations, schools and so much more.
A magical event for your next family dinner, cocktail party, or business meeting! Our “Small Private Event” bookings allow you to host events for up to 12 people at Greens Ledge Lighthouse.
Booking includes up to 3 hours at the Lighthouse and begins with a private tour given by a member of our GLLPS staff. Available evenings from Thursday to Sunday, May through October.
Free transportation to and from the light is included in the ticket price. Please include up to three possible booking dates and our team will email to confirm availability. Event price includes a tax-deductible donation to the Greens Ledge Light Preservation Society.
Book a truly unforgettable venue for your wedding reception, birthday party, anniversary party, and more! Our “Large Event” is a private 4-hour daytime or evening event for up to 70 guests.
Available Saturday & Sunday, May through September. Transportation to and from the light is not included in the price but GLLPS can provide assistance in coordinating charters etc.

For clubs & organizations: Lead your own group tour event and give your organization members the opportunity to tour the restored lighthouse. Excellent as an annual member benefit or special organization event. Utilize your club boat or contract with a third-party charter for transport.
Available on Saturdays and Sundays, May through October. Maximum 45 people on the island at one time. Transportation to and from the light is not included in ticket price but GLLPS can provide assistance in coordinating charters etc.
